Do you run a company, have an idea or do research that could make Halland's blue and green industries more sustainable and resilient? We connect you with the right partners, test environments and capital in the region. - **We connect:** Companies, academia, municipalities and investors who would not otherwise have found each other. - **We test:** Pilot and demonstration sites where new technology and ideas can be tried before anyone invests – including Matpark and Blue Hub Halland. - **We share:** Through hackathons, Envolve Dialogues and networks in Sweden and abroad. ## Focus areas We work in five areas where Halland has a real head start – on land and at sea. Together they form one connected ecosystem. - **Future-proof farming** (Regenerative agriculture): Regenerative agriculture that stores carbon in the soil, builds fertility and strengthens biodiversity. We connect farmers with technology, research and each other. The area builds on the feasibility study Future-Proof Regenerative Farming in Halland. - **Blue industries** (Farming the sea): Farming the sea is key to the food supply of the future. Seaweed and algae provide nutrition as well as raw material for pharmaceuticals and supplements. Halland is well placed – close to fishing harbours and planned offshore wind. - **Agtech & AI** (Automation, sensors and AI): Farming and production that benefit from automation, sensors and AI. We connect companies with the region's researchers and developers to tap into their expertise – and with new products developed here, including next-generation fertilisers. - **Food and health** (Nutritious food as business value): Food is the foundation of a long and healthy life. Halland has historically had one of the highest life expectancies in Sweden, and we explore what that means for the region's food companies: how locally produced, nutritious food can become business value. - **Food, processing and preparedness** (Food cluster, protein and symbiosis): Local producers in Falkenberg's food cluster process the region's raw materials, and we connect them with each other, with grocery retail and with new technologies. This area also covers next-generation protein – Halland has a precision fermentation facility looking for new partners – and industrial and urban symbiosis, where side streams become resources. ## Find your way in ### Innovative companies – Grow in Halland's ecosystem - Access to pilot plants and test beds - Connections to investors and established companies - Co-location at Blue Hub Halland - Contact: [david.andersson@falkenberg.se](mailto:david.andersson@falkenberg.se?subject=ENVOLVE%20%E2%80%94%20Startup%20inquiry) ### Investors – Invest in Halland's blue and green industries - Early-stage and expansion cases in blue and green industries - Due diligence support and local knowledge - Access to EU-funded projects - Contact: [david.andersson@falkenberg.se](mailto:david.andersson@falkenberg.se?subject=ENVOLVE%20%E2%80%94%20Investor%20inquiry) ### Researchers – Connect your research to real-world use - Collaboration with innovative companies - Access to field data and test environments - Joint funding applications (Horizon Europe, Vinnova) - Contact: [david.andersson@falkenberg.se](mailto:david.andersson@falkenberg.se?subject=ENVOLVE%20%E2%80%94%20Research%20collaboration) ### Municipalities & regions – Strengthen your local capacity for innovation - Knowledge exchange between municipalities - Needs mapping and matchmaking - Taking part in regional pilots - Contact: [david.andersson@falkenberg.se](mailto:david.andersson@falkenberg.se?subject=ENVOLVE%20%E2%80%94%20Municipal%20partnership) ## Physical pilot and demonstration sites - **Blue Hub Halland** (Glommen): A physical node for blue innovation on the Halland coast, where offshore seaweed farming, biorefining and land-based processing meet in a circular system. - Blue-green symbiosis: farming at sea is linked to land-based side streams and food processing. - Industrial symbiosis: side streams from the food cluster become resources for biorefining and new products. - **Matpark** (Campus Falkenberg): A food innovation platform at Campus Falkenberg. An edible park is taking shape here – a place where new growing techniques and food ideas can be tested and shown. ## The ecosystem — the virtual hub ENVOLVE has mapped the actors in Halland's blue and green industries and the connections between them in an interactive ecosystem map: https://envolve.earth/en/#ecosystem. The map is based on ongoing monitoring and is a visualisation, not a complete register. Organisation descriptions in the map are in Swedish. Is your company missing? Email david.andersson@falkenberg.se. ## Envolve Dialogues Envolve Dialogues brings together companies, decision-makers, researchers and committed individuals for open conversations about sustainability, technology and public benefit. We host it in Falkenberg during Halland Tech Week. We want more than talk. The conversations should lead to something concrete – partnerships, projects or recommendations that can be put into practice. Envolve Dialogues is meant as a hub for systems thinking on complex societal challenges – an open, cross-disciplinary arena where actors from different sectors co-create solutions across the whole system rather than in silos. We use the methodology of Chalmers Challenge Lab – a transformative and integrative approach to sustainability transitions. (https://challengelab.chalmers.se/about/) - **Transformation:** From conversation to concrete change in Halland's blue and green industries. - **Integration:** We bring together actors who would not otherwise meet. - **Neutrality:** An open, independent meeting place with no agenda of its own. ### This year's edition: Hack the Re:generation Halland Tech Week 2026. 11 November 2026, 09:00–15:00, Falkenberg Strandbad, Havsbadsallén 2A, Falkenberg. Free of charge (SEK 600 + VAT no-show fee). 55 places. Registration 12 October–10 November. The oldest innovation system we know of is not digital: in nature's ecosystems there is no waste – everything is returned. This year's Envolve Dialogues is Falkenberg's day at Halland Tech Week. Farmers, businesses, the public sector, academia and students come together to put regeneration into practice – from soil and food to leadership and new technology. The programme is in Swedish. - 09:45 – **Regenerative leadership:** Leila Ljungberg - 11:00 – **Transition in practice – how farmers can build resilient ecosystems:** Gunnar Thelin, farmer and vice chair of Regenerativt Sverige - 13:30 – **Demo Day:** Student teams from Campus Varberg pitch their solutions from the hackathon - [Programme and registration (in Swedish)](https://hallandtechweek.cruncho.co/sv-SE/place/molod2/HackTheRegeneration) Previous editions: - **2025 – Longevity Halland**: Conversations on how Halland's food traditions and food companies can contribute to a long and healthy life. https://longevityhalland.se - **2024 – Open Autonomy**: On autonomy as an open principle – how self-governing technologies can strengthen society's resilience and self-sufficiency in food, materials, energy and preparedness, while benefiting the wider world through open source. - **2023 – Blue Bioeconomy**: On the sea as a resource – algae, aquaculture and blue biorefining. - **2022 – Future Food**: On the food of the future – new raw materials, technologies and sustainable production. ## About the project ENVOLVE 2 is a virtual innovation hub for the blue and green bioeconomy in Halland, Sweden. The project is run by Falkenberg Municipality's business development unit with funding from Region Halland and runs from 2024 to 2027.
